Today 6th December 2022, a joint letter from major business leaders (including Kingspan, puren and Recticel) has been sent to ITRE Committee Members of the European Parliament for the adoption and delivering of an ambitious and future-proof Energy Performance of Buildings Directive.
Three key elements are highlighted in the letter as fundamental to boost the current dormant renovation rates:
- A solid Minimum Energy Performance Standard #MEPS regime
- Increased access to quality information and guidance
- New instruments to mobilise finance
